Our Teachers and Staff

Listed here are the links that will take you on a trip down memory lane to reminisce about teachers we liked and disliked but mostly about folks that cared about us and our futures. Many times we did not understand them, but they were able to get the point across about both academics and real life subjects. We did not have "the finer things of life" but we had something more precious - people "who cared about us". I don't know about your parents, but if I got into mischief at school and my parents learned about it, they usually went to school and visited with the teacher. The teacher was not in trouble - I WAS!

Sam Houston High School came into existence on September 8, 1942. The first yearbook was published for the 1943-44 school year. At the present time, B. J. Burns '50, Gloria Burns '50 and Ruth Burns '46 have loaned us the first 5 yearbooks ever published. If you have an issue for a year that we do not have, please contact the E-Raven . Every effort will be made to add as many years as possible.

If you have some positive, significant event with a teacher or a staff member and want to share it with us, please send an E-Mail to the E-Raven and we will publish it in the E-Raven and develop a collection of these for a section on this WEB site.

Just click on the year and begin your journey along memory lane.
